Owings Mills, MD 21117 City: County: Description: A volunteer ranger will read short stories with a nature or animal theme. Geared toward children 10 years and younger, but all ages are welcome! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Rain or shine! Meet at the Visitor Center. Learn about the biodiversity in your area and what you can do to help secure a future for all species and the habitat we share. After the presentation, we'll take a short, easy hike to examine the unique biodiversity of the serpentine grassland ecosystem. Fun for all ages! Shine only. Meet at the Visitor Center. Fair Hill NRMA 5/25/2017 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Location: 630 Tawes Drive, Elkton MD 21921 City: Elkton County: Cecil Description: The Sprouts Program introduces children ages 2-4 to the wonder of nature through play. We will wander through wildflower meadows, explore majestic woods and learn about trees, bugs, birds and animals.Each hands-on session includes a guided walk, a nature craft, and a story. Pack a lunch for you and your Sprout! All children must be accompanied by an adult. Younger siblings are welcome to observe at no charge. However, our trails are not stroller-friendly. Afterwards, we will make crafts that will allow you to bring those sounds home! This program is geared toward children 10 years and younger, but all ages are welcome!
