| Fort Frederick State Park 6/19/2017 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. 6/20/2017 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Location: 11100 Fort Frederick Road City: Big Pool County: Washington Description: This is a fun filled, hands-on nature learning experience. Wear old clothes, because participants will get dirty! The Jr. Ranger program for kids age 8-12 will consist of five sessions held 1:30-4 pm daily and focus on creating backyard habitat for butterflies and their friends. There is a service fee for the program and pre-registration is limited and required. All children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older. Cost: Call for details. Directions: From the west: Take I-70 E to exit 12(Big Pool), turn right on MD-56 and go down 1 mile to the park on your right. From the east: Take I-70 W to exit 12(Big Pool), turn left on MD-56 and go down 1 mile to the park on your right.
