Fair Hill Point-to-Point

Description: Enjoy a day of horse racing and celebrate the 6th Annual Point-to-Point. Join us for kids' activities, festive tailgating, and live music. Fair Hill Point-to-Point has all the facilities for spectators with a parade of horse drawn carriages and plenty of exciting racing. This family-friendly event is enjoyed by fans who like to spend a casual, yet sophisticated day of world-class steeplechase racing in Cecil County’s horse country. The Fair Hill race is the newest addition to the Delaware Valley Point-to-Point race series, and the final race of this year’s three spring events.
Cost: Adults $10, Kids $5, Student ID $5, Military ID FREE

Description: Check out fun crafts, games, and hands-on nature items. Bring the kids to the park for nature oriented crafts and activities. Activities vary each week! Meet at the Park Office.

Directions: From Washington, D.C, Virginia and points south, take I-270 north towards Frederick, Maryland. Take Exit 10, Clopper Road (Route 117). Turn right at the light at the bottom of the ramp. The park is approximately 2 miles on the left. From points north, take I-270 south towards Washington, D.C., take Exit 11 (MD Route 124 west). Turn right at the light at the bottom of the ramp. At the second light, turn right onto Clopper Road (Route 117). The park is approximately 1.5 miles on the left.

Earth Day Tree Plantings 
Rocky Gap State Park

Description: Join Rocky Gap's Rangers in their annual Earth Day tree planting! Trees will be planted in the Day Use area between 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. Make sure you dress for the weather. We plan to be out rain or shine! If you are interesting in volunteering for this event, please contact Ranger Barger at kathryn.barger@maryland.gov

Directions: From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and areas west: Take I-279 south to I-79 south (Washington, PA) to I-68 east (Morgantown, WV) and follow I-68 east for approximately 78 miles. Take the Rocky Gap State Park exit (Exit 50). Make a left crossing over I-68 and the Ranger Station is located straight into the park near the beaches. From Baltimore, Maryland: (approximately 130 miles) Take I-70 west to I-68 west to Exit 50 for Rocky Gap State Park. The Ranger Station is located straight into the park near the beaches.
