Mother's Day on the Low Challenge Course 
Tuckahoe State Park

Description: This is a "family-building", problem-solving, adventuresome fun for everyone event! Bring the whole "team" of friends and family and pack a picnic lunch and all of your determination to enjoy and conquer Tuckahoe's low ropes course. Pre-registration is required so call ahead to register your group! See you there!
Cost: $5 for youth 5-15, $10 for Adults 16+
Directions: Meet at the Tuckahoe Challenge Course pavilion located in the campground adjacent to the non-electic camping loop.

Geocaching 101 
Gunpowder Falls State Park

Description: Have you ever wanted to participate in the outdoor treasure hunting activity of geocaching? Join us at the Big Gunpowder parking lot (located off Rt. 1 in Kingsville) for a crash course in learning how to use GPS to locate geocache containers. We will hike down the White Trail (easy terrain) and attempt to locate several placed along the trail. Bring your GPS device or smartphone. If using a smartphone, we encourage you to create a free account on https://www.geocaching.com/play beforehand and downloading the mobile app. Please dress in layers, wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and bring water.

Boat Center Opening 
Seneca Creek State Park

Description: Join Seneca staff for the 2017 opening day of the boat center at Clopper Lake! Canoes, kayaks, pedal boats and row boats are available for rent from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm. Prices vary from $8 -$12 per hour. Bring fishing equipment and try to catch one of Clopper's Whoppers!
Cost: Varies depending on boat selection
Directions: From Washington, D.C, Virginia and points south, take I-270 north towards Frederick, Maryland. Take Exit 10, Clopper Road (Route 117). Turn right at the light at the bottom of the ramp. The park is approximately 2 miles on the left. From points north, take I-270 south towards Washington, D.C., take Exit 11 (MD Route 124 west). Turn right at the light at the bottom of the ramp. At the second light, turn right onto Clopper Road (Route 117). The park is approximately 1.5 miles on the left.
