Directions: From Washington, D.C, Virginia and points south, take I-270 north towards Frederick, Maryland. Take Exit 10, Clopper Road (Route 117). Turn right at the light at the bottom of the ramp. The park is approximately 2 miles on the left. From points north, take I-270 south towards Washington, D.C., take Exit 11 (MD Route 124 west). Turn right at the light at the bottom of the ramp. At the second light, turn right onto Clopper Road (Route 117). The park is approximately 1.5 miles on the left.

River of History - Orange Grove Swinging Bridge  
Patapsco Valley State Park

Description: Stroll alongside the scenic Patapsco River on a moderate 2-mile hike on paved, but hilly terrain. Journey through time from the 1600’s to the present, as we visit historic sites and discuss the many changes that have taken place in the Patapsco River Valley . Shine only! Directions: From the Beltway (I-695): Take Rt. 1 (exit 12A) toward Elkridge. Follow Rt. 1 South about 3 miles to South St. Turn right. Park entrance on the left. From I-95: Take I-195 East toward BWI. From I-195 take Rt. 1 South (Exit 3) and turn right toward Elkridge. Turn right onto South Street. Park entrance is on the left. From Howard County: Follow Rt. 1 through Elkridge and into Baltimore County. Turn left onto South St. Park entrance is on the left.

Yoga Rocky Gap Sate Park

Description: Join instructor Leslee Wigfield in the Day Use concession building for a peaceful evening practice. All levels welcome. Dress in layers as the building tends to be drafty! Extra mats are available to borrow.

Directions: ​From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and areas west: Take I-279 south to I-79 south (Washington, PA) to I-68 east (Morgantown, WV) and follow I-68 east for approximately 78 miles. Take the Rocky Gap State Park exit (Exit 50). Make a left crossing over I-68 and the Ranger Station is located straight into the park near the beaches. From Washington, D.C.: (approximately 150 miles) Take I-270 north to I-70 west to I-68 west. Take the Rocky Gap State Park exit (Exit 50). The Ranger Station is located straight into the park near the beaches. From Baltimore, Maryland: (approximately 130 miles) Take I-70 west to I-68 west to Exit 50 for Rocky Gap State Park. The Ranger Station is located straight into the park near the beaches.

Maryland DNR 2017 Black History Month program

Description: The DNR office of Fair Practices' is sponsoring the DNR 2017 "Black History Month" program on Friday, February 24, 2017. Dr. Aprille Joy Ericsson will be the keynote speaker at this program. Dr. Ericsson is a Aerospace Engineer working at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, in Greenbelt, MD. Aprille is the very first African-American female to obtain a P.H.D in Mechanical Engineering-Aerospace, from Howard University, in Washington, D.C.. Dr. Ericsson is also a professor at Howard U. and a member of the Board of Trustees and strong supporter of STEM. The program will include a Governor's proclamation; bestowing of awards on noted DNR employees; a Light Lunch, & the keynote and audience questions.
