| Fort Frederick State Park 5/13/2017 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 5/14/2017 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Location: 11100 Fort Frederick Road City: Big Pool County: Washington Description: Experience life at the fort during the French and Indian War as members of the recreated Joshua Beall's and Alexander Beall's Maryland Companies garrison the fort. Highlights of the event include musket firing presentations, hearth cooking demonstrations, a uniform and clothing talk, and military drills. Cost: Park entrance fees apply. Directions: From the west: Take I-70 E to exit 12(Big Pool), turn right on MD-56 and go down 1 mile to the park on your right. From the east: Take I-70 W to exit 12(Big Pool), turn left on MD-56 and go down 1 mile to the park on your right.
