Catfishin' Pickin Up on Marshyhope

My family and I have really enjoyed catfishing on the local river this summer. Thia makes our 4th year of "total catfishing" outings. We use a 3' leader and egg weights, shrimp, cut bait or hot dogs. The action has been exciting and always rewarding.

We've seen an increase in the bluecats population and size. Caught alot of small bluecats on September 2 in the 4-6" range. I can only assume they are reproducing and staying yearound in the Marshyhope.

Caught my first flathead on August 17. Weighed about 4.5 pounds, although ugly -- we can't wait to chow down on the perfectly white meat.
