Local Creek Fishing

Type: Tidal
Region: Northern
Location: Local Creek

MY friend and I went fishing in a local creek and did really well on sunfish and Smallmouth Bass. The sunny's would hit anything you threw at them and the Smallies were hitting on a top water popper which is a awesome bait to throw to them. I love the surface eruption that comes when they smash this bait. Also did really well throwing a jighead tipped with a tail of a rubber worm. Very deadly bait for them. I'd say we caught a total of around 30 bass with the bigger ones pushing every bit of 2 1/2 pounds. Very productive day to say the least. We went out on September 2nd. We also saw an otter which was great cause they are very rare to see.
