I hooked this nice "rockfish" while trolling with drones on planers in the not so friendly swells of Labor day weekend. I was returning from a not so good day of trotlining in Kent Narrows, (only 12 keepers) and since the bay was very unfriendly and I could only travel slowly I decided to put out the trolling rigs. I was in the area of the Love Point lighthouse running along a channel edge when I heard the ever anticipated zzzzzzzzzzzzz! To my surprise I netted this bad boy (or girl)? Anyway, after this shocker I had to make a few more passes to see if there were any more hungry fish around and managed to hook up several bluefish. (until now I hadn't encountered any in the area this year) So, what started as a really disappointing day on the water turned out to be a memorable one.
