Good Day on the Tidal Potomac River

Type: Tidal
Region: Southern Maryland
Location: Potomac River

Went out with 2 of my friends on Sunday to fish for stripers and largemouth in the Tidal Potomac. We caught several schoolie stripers as well as some nice largemouths. The catch of the day was a striper that was likely over 30" (did not measure, and I released it.) I caught the big striper on a #5 Blue Fox inline spinner at an area where the current is strong when the tide was receding from a small creek. They were feeding actively and we were catching them on every other cast it seemed. Most were in the 16-24" range. The largemouths were biting on buzzbaits with a slow retrieve for the most part, but color seemed insignificant as we were catching them on white, black and brown equally well. All fish were released.
