My son, Justin Brittingham, who is 9 years old, caught his first Rainbow trout on the Patapsco River Friday October 7th. He was fishing one of my favorite spots on the river with his Zebco 33 and a Mepps tiger spinner. He yelled he hooked into a big one and he wasn't kidding. He landed himself a 21 * inch, 4 lb. rainbow trout! Of course it was a stocked trout, which he and his sister had helped in the stocking with MD-DNR Fisheries personnel earlier that day. However, to him that didn't matter; he caught his biggest fish ever. Thanks DNR Fisheries for a life long memory!
