Float Trip On the North Branch

Type: Nontidal
Region: Western
Location: North Branch Potomac River

Hello,
Thanks to guide Danny Teets I had a wonderful day on the North Branch of the Potomac October 7th with a friend, Don Crone, from Cleveland, Ohio. We floated from Barnum to the Savage River catching Brown Trout along the way. The fish pictured here are a 19 inch and two 15 inch Browns. It couldn't have been a better October day. We also caught a few Smallmouth Bass on the Potomac by the Cumberland Fairground boat launch and a few nice fish on the Savage on Oct 8th. Thanks also to DNR folks, Marty Gary, Don Cosden and Ken Pavol for recommending places to fish.
