On April 22nd and 23rd my Uncle and I enjoyed some fine rockfishing fishing out of his dad's boat out of Reedville, VA. We were fishing the triangle around buoy 68 trolling the edges of the shipping channel. I had caught a nice 35 inch fish when 10 minutes later this cow of a fish hit. My uncle fought her for over 20 minutes we got her to the boat 3 times before finally being able to land her. She was weighed at Smith Point Marina and was 57 lbs and 10 oz and was 54". This fish came on a #21 Tony Accetta Spoon and mine on a white Parachute jig being trolled on planer boards. On the 23rd we landed 2 more fish that were 37 and 34 inches long. One was on the Tony Accetta and the other was on a chartreuse parachute jig trolled off planer boards. Overall and excellent start to our season!
