Centennial Lake

Type: Nontidal
Region: Central
Location: Centennial Lake

Recently had a so-so day of fishing for largemouth. Caught one 17 and 12 plus a half dozen smaller fish. The real shocker came when we came upon a shore fisherman that had pulled in an alligator snapping turtle. Seemed out of place considering these turtles are native to the South. Im assuming someone had released it into the lake at some point. Can they withstand our winters?
