Fishing Report from Garrett County

Type: Nontidal
Region: Western
Location:

In the last two weeks we finally got enough cold weather to make safe ice to fish in a few areas. The fish arent overly-aggressive, however, enough were biting to take a good bag of perch home for dinner a few nights, including a beautiful 12.5 jumbo! The key was persistence lots of fish were interested on the sonar, but most had to be convinced to bite using one technique or another or by switching presentations.

All in all, a great day out on the hardwater, which is a rarity this year!

Good luck to all of the ice-fisherman out there and be safe!

**Reminder to all of our ice anglers out there; dont risk a disaster! On early/thin ice, remember your safety equipment, check the ice regularly on your way to your spot, and FISH WITH A FRIEND!
