Saturday February 11, 2012 was a blustery winter day in Baltimore. The Eastern Shore was predicted to be pleasant so that is where I traveled to spend the day fishing with two of my neighbors. Temps were predicted to be in the mid-40s with intermittent rain and drizzle. It was one of the best days of pickerel fishing I've ever had. My personal best 24 1/2 inch chain pickerel along with numerous others including 5 other pickerel 23 to 24 inches were caught and released. Several "hammer handles" were also caught and released. Most of the pics measured at least 14 inches. Three LMB and three yellow perch also jumped on our hooks but we let them all go too. In-line spinners were the lure of choice. What a great way to spend a winter day in the Land of Pleasant Living.
