Huge Crappie

I caught this crappie at a private pond outside of Preston, MD. On August 13, 2011. Thought I would share it since everyone who has seen the picture has said how big the fish is. Experienced anglers and even a waterman have estimated the fish to be about 16 inches long.

I am a new fisherwoman, and had only been catching large mouth bass until that day. I said to my boyfriend to come see what I had on my line. It looked different than a bass. And, it sure was! My boyfriend was so excited (more than I). I just wanted him to take the picture so I could get back to fishing. I wanted to catch more fish. Any fish.
