Spotted Bass?

My cousin Alex caught two of these guys.

DNR Answer: It�s a largemouth bass with spots. The spots are the fish equivalent to freckles. Fisheries biologists call them hyperpigmented melanosis and they are not indicative of anything harmful to the fish.
