Martinak State Park Yellow Perch

I took two of my kids to Martinak State Park in Denton, MD. My neighbor was there the day before and caught several small yellow and white perch. Despite the reports of small fish, I thought the kids would enjoy catching some fish. We fished for about an hour before a thunderstorm rolled in, and we managed to catch four yellow perch. None were legal size, but the kids enjoyed themselves. We were bottom fishing with minnows.

Martinak State Park has a really nice fishing pier which is great if you have kids, a boat ramp, several playgrounds and a nice camping area. If you have not visited this park, you should check it out.
