Early Season Trout

Type: Nontidal
Region: Central
Location: Rocks State Park

My name is Fields Dunaway, a couple of my close friends got together Monday February 20-2012 and went trout fishing in Rocks State Park. We tried everything we had to catch a trout, nothing was working. I decided to switch to the only way your almost guaranteed to catch a fish, hook and worm. I casted into some rapids and soon after I hooked into my first rainbow. Within a couple hours we caught some nice rainbow trout. Before we left I tryed out one spot that caught my eye, the second cast I hooked my first Brown trout. He put up one good fight. It turned out to be a really good day and a great decision to go fishing! Its amazing what these fish have been threw and managed to survive after all of the storms which brought along high rising muddy water.
