Yellow Perch Hanging on in Upper Choptank

Type: Tidal
Region:
Location:

On March 9th, I had the opportunity to take the afternoon and go fishing with Tammy, my wife. We launched our canoe in Greensboro on the Upper Choptank. Using our new depth finder, we located two nice holes and were able to catch five keeper yellow perch and released another couple dozen undersized ones. The three in the picture below were 11.5-12 inches. Caught bottom fishing using worms and minnows. Despite catching white perch in this location the previous weekend, we did not catch any on this trip. Made for a great dinner!
