Two rockfish caught on Saturday May 1, 2010

Type: Chesapeake
Region: Eastern
Location: North of the Bay Bridge

Trolling my 1972 33' Viking with 11 Penn Trolling Rods all day on Saturday. The waters from the three greens to just before the Bay Bridge didn't bring any fish for us, until we were on our way back to home port of Goose Harbor Marina in the Seneca.

Our first drop down, broke the line after getting the fish 30' away from the boat. I had my wife turn the boat around and troll the same spot where I got the drop down, sure enough, another drop down that I did get to the boat. I landed a 42" 23 lb Rock.

We then continued to troll the same area when we received another drop down and my son landed a fat 34" rock.
