Edgemere Fishing

Type: Chesapeake
Region: Central
Location: Fort Howard Park

My name is Jonathan, I recently went fishing at Fort Howard Park, right by North Point State Park in Edgemere MD. It was a nice day and I was mainly aiming for some carp. I used a dough bait from Walmart I picked up that had some good reviews online, and I used several pieces of corn on a hook. - No action what so ever there today. BUT, I've caught many nice sized white perch, and catfish in that area. I also saw people catch and release some small striped bass. In the summer I'll sometimes see guys coming out of there with some nice sized catfish. (bring mosquito/bug repellent..they seem to be pretty bad there )Just a heads up for people who need a nice quiet spot for the approaching and already nice weather. Be sure to check out the whole park too. I know it's still slightly early. But I'd really like to catch some carp this year after not having much luck with them late last summer. Any recommended spots in Baltimore or not too long of a drive from the Baltimore area? Fishing from shore, by the way. Trying to get a head start on them this year! Thanks!
