My good friend Todd located some fish in the area of Aquia Creek on the Potomac River last Friday. I made the long run on Saturday and was not disappointed. We had the entire bank to ourselves and witnessed several schools of largemouth invade the area chasing bait all over the place. They were feeding on tiny minnows about an inch long. There were scattered weeds and the water was a little dingy. I was throwing a chatterbait and the fish were crushing it. We caught 10 over 3lbs, 2 over 4lbs and a 5 lb, 21 inch fatty in a couple hours. We fished the area til about 10 am and made our way back to Leesylvania catching a couple bass on every spot we fished. I also fished yesterday in the area of Pohick and caught a dozen bass in less than a foot of water. We could see them coming for the bait..WHAM!
