Beautiful day up here Tuesday. Water temperatures are climbing (67F) so hickory shad are beginning to wind down. We are seeing mostly younger fish, which typically dominate the spawning population toward the end of the run. That also usually signals peak American shad populations, though low water levels might make fishing difficult.
There are large numbers of white perch in the Deer Creek area down to Lapidum. I don't remember seeing this many white perch for the past several years and there are plenty of larger fish too.
