I went fishing with my friend Paul Sumpter who took the attached photos Sunday, April 1st. We were fishing in the Potomac River above 4 locks near McCoy's Ferry at about 1pm when I hooked the 3 plus pound smallmouth bass. About 10 minutes later I hooked this 41 inch muskie which is the first one I have ever caught and the fight was on. At first I didn't know what I had but once near the surface I was astounded. It was a little crazy trying to get him in the boat due to those teeth, but we managed. Now I'm hooked and will try to learn all I can about their habits and go for number 2.
