Bass on Little Seneca Lake

Type: Nontidal
Region: Central
Location: Little Seneca Lake in Boyds, MD

The water temperature dropped a few degrees from last weekend down to 65 degrees. Managed to catch and release five largemouth bass in the 12 to 14 inch range. Nice healthy looking fish that have obviously been feeding well. Had the most success with a slow steady retrieve of a bluegill imitation crankbait in 5 to 7 feet of water about halfway down some of the larger coves. I suspect I would have done better picking cover apart with a plastic worm but the wind was just relentless today and trying to keep the kayak in position for anything more than one quick cast was impossible.
