Tagged Snakehead in Aquia Creek

Yesterday I went bow fishing for my first time with James Berry. I was able to arrow 2 fish one of which was tagged. The tagged fish was 21 inches long and weighed 2 pounds and 5 ounces.

We were bow fishing in the back part of Aquia Creek when we got this tagged fish. We called the (540-899-4169) VA number and gave them all the info. I shot my very first snakehead and it had a tag in it. What luck! My friend James has killed hundreds and never saw a tagged one. We had an awesome day! Also we saw more schools of spawning herring in Aquia that day than I have ever seen in my 25+ years on the river. Was great to see them in such numbers.
