This is a healthy Striped Bass caught by Leonard Morrissette of Glenelg, MD Thursday, the 18th of March, while Surf Fishing from the beach, using bloodworms, and circle hooks to lessen the mortality rate of the species.
The fish was caught in three feet of water, when the temperature was 47 degrees Fahrenheit. Caught with a 15 foot Daiwa rod, utilizing a Bait runner 6500B reel. That very day, there was no intention to go fishing, until the next day. That day, and the following, many Striped Bass were released.
