Deep Creek Lake

Some folks and I went out to Deep Creek Lake over the weekend. We mainly fished secondary points within coves. My friend Dan Padilla, pictured with a pickeral, used spoons to good success near emerging weeds and I mainly through a lucky craft ghost minnow and caught a mix of walleye, pickeral, small northerns, smallmouth, yellow perch and a few fat rock bass.

This is the second year in a row that I've been out there in May before Memorial Day prior to the pleasure boaters and day sailors arriving and the fish have been relatively shallow and active.
