Bass Fishing on the Mattawoman Creek

I took my skipper and canoe out on the Mattawoman Creek on 4/20 and CRUSHED the largemouth out there! I totaled 8 bass over 4lbs and a few smaller ones. Almost everything was caught on the Red Rapala Clackin' Crank you see in in some of the pictures . A little high at $9.99 but I could have gone out with just that one lure and had them hit all day. I put it on 20lb test Cajun Red line��they'd hit it hard after pulling it through a grass bed. Then I caught a catfish for the fryer on the same things��.couldn't believe the fight this guy put up. 8 hours and over 11 fish: Awesome time.
