Tagged Snakehead in Little Hunting Creek

I finally got a tagged snakehead with my bow and arrow. The tag number was 01721 and it had a phone number on it that I called and left a message. The fish weighed 8 pounds and 2 ounces and was 31.5 inches long and had a girth that was 13.5 inches. I arrowed the fish on 4-20-12 in Little Hunting Creek. I want to tell all anglers that catch a snakehead to look real close for a tag, because the tag on this fish was covered in green/black algae and was very hard to see. I did not even notice it until I went to clean the fish. There are also several different color tags and the ones that I have seen all had a phone number to call. If you get one that is covered in growth it is better to wait till you can get some hot water and soap to clean it rather than try to scrape it off with a knife. The knife can scratch off the info on the tag.
