Bass and Snakehead at Mallows Bay

Type: Tidal
Region: Southern
Location: Mallows Bay

Hit Mallows Bay in Nanjemoy, MD on April 30th in the evening for a couple hours. Glad we did...I caught three nice bass and a 27 inch snakehead. First one was about 19 inches and hit on a Gulp sinking minnow. Second one was stubby and around 14 inches or so, it hit on a spinner. Third one was 17 inches and hit on a spinner with a trailing worm. Then right before we left I decided to try out my new chatter bait. Ran it across a section of bubbles a few times and bam the fight was on. As I furiously reeled I see my catch shoot out of the water like a torpedomy second snakehead and a nice size one too. A little more fighting and I pull it on shorea little over 2 ft. at 27 inches, took a few pics then cut off it's head. Took this one home to my brother who's a chef so he could try it out.
