Snakehead Caught from Kayak in the Potomac

Type: Tidal
Region: Southen
Location: Potomac River

I am currently stationed at Fort Belvoir, VA. This is my first snakehead and I caught it from my kayak along the Potomac River on a Carolina rig with a green pumpkin power bait yesterday at about 16:00 just before the rain came in. I filleted it and will try to eat it tonight. It was 22 inches long and I do not have a scale but he was a fat fish. This was a fun fish to catch in my kayak and it definitely took some skill to land him in a small boat. I look forward to catching more during my time stationed on the east coast.
