I was fishing in Stafford, VA at Aquia Creek, a tributary to the Potomac River. My friends and I were throwing a variety of baits, but had the most success with soft plastics.
We caught about 8 bass in total, as well as a few crappie, but the fish of the day was a 14lb snakehead! This fish hit my wacky rigged, white Senko like a ton of bricks. It is one of the biggest snakeheads Ive seen, and was too thick to easily get both of my hands around. For size comparison purposes, the white worm underneath the fish in the 2nd picture is 5 inches long! I would guess these fish are about 3 times as dense as a bass. The fish was quickly killed and was then given away for food. Attached are several pictures of the beast.
