Great Bass Fishing at Liberty Reservoir

Type: Nontidal
Region: Central
Location: Liberty Reservoir

Liberty just keeps on producing in this great spring weather! Only had about an hour and a half to fish all weekend but the fish were there! Landed 2 largemouths on Rapala jerkbait 11mm first thing in the morning Saturday largest a little over 2 lbs. Spent an hour first thing Sunday morning in the drizzle and it was fantastic landed 6 smallies biggest at 4.26 lbs with another in the 4 lb club, several in the 2 to 3 pound range. Lost several others as well. Fish on almost every cast! One on topwater, rest on Carolina rig using a 3 brown flake tube or a silver/white tube. Tube bait rather than a worm or lizard because it tends to float a little higher off of the bottom behind the ounce egg sinker. Several females popping at the seams ready to spawn out. All fish released quickly and in great shape! Liberty just rocks this year!
