My brother and I were on the water at 05:30 and caught around 50 bass in 8 hrs. We caught most of our bass on white, single Colorado blade spinner baits and a chatter bait with a fluke trailer. We fished opposite today. We went anywhere we could find a bank with no boats. The water temp was 66-72 degrees so we knew that as long as the fish were wet no area would be out of the question. Lots of predators in very shallow water feasting on small fry/minnows. Our best 5 bass were right at 17 lbs, which probably wouldnt win a tournament on this river but still a nice 5 fish limit. We also hooked 3 snakeheads, one came off, one broke off and one got killed and eaten. Also caught a 14 lb blue catfish on the chatter bait which nearly broke my arm. If you have never used a chatter bait you are missing out on a killer bait. Fish it fast, slow, deep, shallow, in and around wood and comes through spatterdocks like a champ. Big hook too. Good Fishing!
