Blue Crabs on the Wye River

Headed out for the first crabbing trip of the season on May 26, 2012 to the Wye River with family and a family friend back home from the U.S. Marine Corps for some R and R. We set out our gear in a small creek and proceeded to catch almost 2 bushels of good ole Maryland blue crabs including this big boy in the picture that measured point to point at 9.25 inches and a claw spread of just over 20 inches. The netman on this guy was my Dad aka The Big Dipper (Leo Karopchinsky) .
