I got off work today and went straight to my favorite fishing spot in Annapolis. Tied on a white Johnson's beetle spin and cast it out from the bank as far as I could. I wasn't expecting much because the tide was very low it was around 5:45 in the afternoon on June 13th. Around 30-40 feet from shore I got a hit it felt real good on micro tackle. Getting hooked that far from shore the feisty pickerel had plenty of determination thrashing and jumping several times before finally giving in. NICE!!! I estimated the pickerel was about 18-20 inches long. I released it for the next lucky angler.
