Golden Shiner in Silver Spring Pond

Type: Nontidal
Region: Central
Location: Pond in Silver Spirng

This fish was caught mid May, on a woolly bugger, in a neighborhood pond in Silver Spring Maryland. I'm not sure what it is. My guess is some sort of carp. Any thoughts?

DNR Response: The fish is a golden shiner also known as mill roach when they get big like that.
