Smallies and Flathead Catfish at Deer Creek

Went out in the kayak this past Sunday early morning about 5am. Caught 2 smallies within the first 20 min. While dragging a pins minnow paddling up stream from the mouth of Deer Creek. Was a great morning! I also caught a 24 inch and two 15-17 inch flatheads on a deep diving crankbait. They put up one heck of a fight! Great eating also! Try this when frying fish�mix buttermilk, enough hot sauce to make the mix pink, soak the fillets over night. Coat with a mixture of bisquick and cajun seasoning�and fry them up!
