28 inch American eel in Octoraro Creek

Type: Tidal
Region: North Central
Location: Octoraro Creek

Caught this monster on June 13 at 8pm in the southern region of Octoraro Creek. I never felt the initial hit until I started to reel my line in and I felt something kicking viciously back and forth. It took around 5 minutes to get her in, I thought for sure it would throw the hook. It was caught on a white hurricane jighead and nightcrawler. It was the longest fish I have ever caught lengthwise, and definitely the most thrilling.
