Liberty Reservoir Smallies Put Up a Fight

Had a great morning on Liberty last week. Landed 4 smallmouths that were 3 pounds +, one topped 4. Lost 2 others after acrobatic air shows. Caught most on topwaters, a couple on motor oil colored lizards with yellow tail. These fish inhaled the baits! Oddly enough caught no fish until there was a bluebird sky, around 9 am. Thought the action would be good around first light but that wasn't the case. These smallmouths put up such a great fight! Awesome morning. Love your Anglers Log site - check it everyday.
