My boys and I camped in Big Run State Park and fished in several Savage River tributaries over Memorial Day weekend. Watching these aggressive fish race through the shallows to crush small spinners was something all three of us enjoyed immensely. As an added bonus, these streams are all filled with lots of perfect skipping rocks, cool salamanders, and this time of year the butterflies are absolutely everywhere. What a treat to be able to have such a wonderful outdoor adventure park just a stones throw from our tent. We will be back.
