Report From Potomac River Near Mt. Vernon

I�ve been fishing several times in the last week and have been fishing some creeks off the Potomac. I�ve found the water clarity to be amazing at times, 4 - 6 feet of visibility. The other day I saw at least 50 bass swim under my boat, with only a few takers until the sun started setting and then it was chaos for an hour. Saturday, July 14th, I boated 5 snakeheads and had another catapult himself clear out of the water, over the front deck of my boat, and back into the water on the other side of the boat, and never got him hooked. I had 15 dollars worth of chatter-baits destroyed. One of these larger snakeheads was given to a co-worker who enjoyed some tasty fillets and lobster! I fed the crabs with the other snakeheads and noted that 3 of them were full of roe.
