Poor Day Crabbing on the South River

Crabbed the south shore of the South River last Saturday, July 14th, between the Route 2 and Riva Road Bridges. Recreational crab license on my boat and used 30 collapsible traps with chicken necks. High tide was at 9:30 and I was in 10-12 feet of water. After thunderstorm moved thru at 8:30, I crabbed for three hours. Caught one keeper. Threw back a dozen small crabs and several females. Horrible day.
