I caught a 16 inch largemouth bass on a nightcrawler during the pm hours fishing at the of mouth of the Octoraro and behind Conowingo pool. I planned on fishing for catfish and was surprised to reel in a largemouth on a worm and sinker. It was caught on Friday the 13th as well.
Here are a few more photos of largemouths caught from the mouth of Octoraro. The bass population is very plentiful here at Octoraro due to the deeper waters. I have seen schools of bass at a time. Most bass seem very hungry as well. Most bass were caught on nightcrawlers and hook. The bass with the reddish looking line on its tail fin was caught behind the Conowingo pool above the dam, on a rebel crayfish. All fish were caught and released.
