Fishermen searching for a break from the heat should give Owens Creek in northern Frederick County a try. Anglers will find approximately 600 adult brown trout ranging in length from 9 -12 inches that were recently stocked in addition to "leftover" trout from Put and Take stockings. Owens Creek shifted from Put and Take regulation to Catch and Release/ Artificial Lures Only on June 1st. Recent rains have water levels slightly higher then average but will diminish quickly.
