I caught this northern snakehead just before high tide using a black hollow bodied frog. We were fishing in Mattawoman Creek. The 28 inch snakehead was caught in about 2 feet of water with dense grass just below the surface. The fish tried to bury itself in the grass as soon as it was hooked. We filleted it, fried it, and ate it. It was honestly one of the best tasting fish I've ever had. I highly recommend you try it. We also caught 3 bass that all were returned to grow bigger.
