On the evening of 7/21 with rain pouring down on the eastern shore, I was fishing just off Eastern Neck Island around Wickes Beach and Baybush Pt. Around 16:30 I noticed a school of skoolie rockfish breaking the surface and baitfish scattering. I caught several small rockfish all returnable, no keepers. The action was fast and furious and lasted only 30 minutes or so. I caught live lining shiners into the bubbling school. Tolchester Beach fishing from pier was closed as of 7/21 no vehicles allowed on pier and posted No trucks pass this point and fishing allowed only with permission.
